MAN BEHIND BARS AFTER REVOLVER FOUND

A Grafton man remains behind bars, after being charged with firearm offences.

Police allege they found a revolver, loaded with four rounds of ammunition in the 28-year-old’s backpack, when they searched it near the intersection of Duke and Victoria streets yesterday.

Detective Inspector, Darren Jameson says it shows a complete disregard for community safety.

“These knuckle heads, who think they can walk around the streets, with loaded firearms in our community do pose a significant risk.”

The man will reappear in Grafton Court early next month.
