BURLEIGH BEARS RAISE MONEY FOR BREAST CANCER

The Gold Coast Titans got in touch with their femine side today, taking part in the Burleigh Bears’ annual breast cancer luncheon.

Around 250 women attended the charity event which has raised more than $30,000 in its four years.

Bears’ CEO Damian Driscoll says it’s a great opportunity to support a worthy cause, “the reality is we’re here to raise money for beast cancer research and awareness we had one of the ladies talk about how she’s going through treatment at the moment and I think everyone knows someone that has been affected by cancer so definitely you know makes you really want to dig deep and help the charity”.

The fundraising is continuing on Sunday when the Burleigh boys will play in pink jerseys, set to be auctioned off after their Intrust Super Cup match.
