Port Macquarie’s junior cricket club has been handed a $2,000 cheque from the Commonwealth Bank through their Cricket Club Sponsorship program.
The funding is ongoing for the next two years and will benefit the 250 young cricketers within the club.
“The money will go towards new kits and providing kids with development through from the juniors all the way through to the seniors” – Scott Newton, Club Treasurer
Memorabilia from some of Australia’s best cricket players is included in the program and will be auctioned off at the end of season function.
