Mobile phone reception has been improved near Glen Innes, with a new tower now live at Kings Plains.
The improved coverage will ensure the safety of motorists and landholders – small business are also expected to benefit.
It’s the 50th Telstra tower in New South Wales, under the federal government’s $220-million mobile blackspot program.
It follows an announcement by Optus earlier this year, to build 16 new towers in the Tamworth region.
