Southern Cross University has announced a number of voluntary redundancies from its Lismore and Gold Coast campuses this week.
Staff were asked to nominate themselves, following millions of dollars in Federal Government budget cuts earlier this year.
“We had 49 people indicate that they would, we accepted 34 of those, 22 professional staff and 12 academics.”
Most of the cuts came from the Lismore campus, with just two on the Gold Coast.
The University hasn’t ruled out further redundancies.
