A man has died after his car has reportedly left the road, flipped onto its side, and caught on fire on the mid north coast.
The crash happened just after 5am on the Pacific Highway at Coolongolook, near Taree.
The the male driver and sole occupant of the Hyundai Elantra sedan died at the scene.
