A 36-year-old prisoner will appear in court today after allegedly escaping from a Newcastle hospital.
The man escaped on foot from the John Hunter Hospital with police starting their search around 3pm yesterday.
It took roughly 30 minutes for the prisoner to be found in nearby bushland, he’s been charged with escape lawful custody.
