Locals have banded together with boat owners near Narrabri, to help support the Yarrie Lake.
Residents are trying to raise funds and awareness to get a permanent water supply for the Lake, and are aiming to sink an Artesian bore to boost tourism.
While still pushing for state and federal grants, the group will continuing their own fundraising at a dinner event next Saturday night.
