The ladies from Tweed-Byron were crowned ‘queens of the green’ today, eclipsing a Mid North Coast contingent by five rink wins at this year’s Inter District Bowls Challenge.
It’s the second year in a row the northerners have taken out the competition.
“It’s always high calibre bowling the challenge has been going so long it’s competitive.”
32 players from the Tweed all the way down to Coffs Harbour rolled up to take part in the two day round robin style event.
