ANOTHER NAME ADDED TO THE SHIELD

It seems the Armidale Athletics 400-metre Invitational is impossible to win twice.

Late yesterday afternoon, Lawson Fittler became the 13th victor in as many years.

The O’Connor Catholic College student overcame a two metre penalty due to a false start, to pip Stuart Geddes and Eliza Ward at the finish line.

Ward coming within a second, of becoming the first female to win the race.

Fittler will back up next week, at the New South Wales All Schools Carnival in Sydney.
