WINDSOR SUPPORTS RENEWABLES IN REGIONAL AREAS

Former member for New England Tony Windsor has thrown his support behind a push for more renewable energy in regional areas.

A Quirindi farmer has written an open letter to the nation’s rural politicians after the National Party carried a motion against renewable energy subsidies at its annual conference.

The letter suggest many farmers are concerned by the government’s ‘anti-renewables’ policies and more should be done to support green energy.

Since last Thursday, the letter has attracted more than two-thousand signatures, including Mr Windsor and Breeza farmer Andrew Pursehouse.
