It’s the end of an era for more than 1200 University of Newcastle students, with graduates donning the cap and gown at ceremonies over the past two days.
Graduate speaker Connie-Lee Dixon was one of just three females to graduate from a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
“Everything I’ve learnt I’ve been kind of able to translate from the engineering world to actually operating an aircraft which has been fantastic and all really exciting,” she says.
Today, it was the faculties of engineering, science, education and art’s turn to take the stage.
