The region’s finest drops have been named, as part of this year’s Hunter Valley Wine Show.
In total, there were 36 gold, 80 silver and 165 bronze medals awarded, with Tyrrell’s Vineyards taking out Wine of Provenance.
International judges say they were particularly impressed with the Shiraz classes, due to challenging harvest conditions in recent years.
Judging took place over several days at Singleton, with a guest appearance from US wine journalist, Elaine Chukan Brown.
