WOMAN FIGHTS FOR HER LIFE IN HOSPITAL AFTER CRASHING INTO TREE

A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after crashing into a tree on the Far North Coast yesterday.
The 33-year-old was driving a silver Ford Falcon west along Clothiers Creek Road at Tanglewood around 1pm on Thursday, when the car left the road and hit a tree.
Emergency services raced to the scene and worked to free the woman trapped in the car.
Once freed, she was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
Officers from Tweed/Byron Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
