Following a five-year hiatus the Maitland Triathlon will return this November at the event’s traditional home of Morpeth.
To be held two weeks before the Sydney Ironman 70.3 in Penrith, organisers are hoping to attract plenty of high profile athletes, including Hunter Olympian Aaron Royle.
The race starts with a 1500 metre swim in the Hunter river, before competitors embark on a 40k bike leg and a 10k run.
