A man is in a critical condition after falling three metres from a ladder while working at a Lake Macquarie home.
The 55-year-old tradesman suffered serious head and pelvic injuries, and lost consciousness.
He was treated at the scene in Belmont by paramedics before being transported to John Hunter Hospital.
“The head injuries are quite sensitive and hard to sort of determine, but we’re hoping so but it will be a long time in hospital with more scans and stuff like that, that will give us a better picture of that outcome.”
The accident happened just after 11am.
