Two German backpackers, camping in the Park Beach Caravan Park at Coffs Harbour, got a fright this morning when they were robbed at knife point shortly before 5am.
The pair had their phones, cash and a laptop stolen by a man who cut his way into their tent while they slept.
The only items recovered during a search of nearby bushland were a English-German dictionary and a stray kitten.
” I wake up and a man with a knife was standing in front of me .
” Then he grabbed all the stuff and I just saw that he grabbed something but I was too scared that I don’t move.”
The women say the man was wearing a hooded jumper, but they weren’t able to see him clearly in the darkness.
