The race for Mayor is heating up in Maitland, with long-serving councillor Bob Geoghegan announcing his nomination as the Liberal Party candidate.
“I think I have the right combination of energy and experience, passion and respect from all sides of politics and the community,” said Mr Geoghegan.
Come September, Mayor Peter Blackmore will be stepping down, after almost two decades in the top job.
