Outspoken state government MP Andrew Fraser is supporting calls from the Police Association for at least 400 extra officers on the North Coast.
The Member for Coffs Harbour says there’s only been 32 additional police employed in the northern region in the past two years.
Mr Fraser said, “The crime rate in Sydney, the deaths the shootings and everything else appear to get the attention from the police commissioner rather than the north coast.”
Mr Fraser says police on the north coast are working twice as hard as their Sydney counterparts.
