STOLZ SETTLES FOR SECOND BEHIND WOLLONGONG WIZ

Andre Stolz has finished in a four-way tie for second at the New South Wales PGA Championship in Wollongong.

The Central Coast golfer fired a sizzling five-under in the final round of the rain affected 54-hole event; but couldn’t catch Brisbane’s Matthew Guyatt, who carded a phenomenal 62; to claim his maiden title by a stroke, at 13-under.

Stolz’s teenage son Zac also played in the event as an Amateur, but missed the cut with rounds of 72 and 84.

He did manage to finish ahead of NRL star Braith Anasta by four strokes.
