Port Macquarie hockey players will have to wait at least another month to start using the new synthetic turf at Wayne Richards Park.
The all-weather field was due to open in April, but line marking errors have delayed the handover.
Council says the contractor will be repairing the defects at its own expense, and weather permitting, it should be finished in August.
