The Collegian Warriors are hopeful of mounting a comeback to reach Group 4 rugby league’s finals for the first time.
After a tough opening to the year, they beat the Panthers, and only fell to joint competition leaders Gunnedah by six points last start.
It’s led to renewed optimism in their camp.
“We had six new fellas turn up wanting to play. So, some of them look handy. Won’t know until I see them play, but it’s obviously generated a bit of interest back in our club anyway.”
Their revival continues on Sunday, against North Tamworth.
In the rounds other games, Narrabri hosts the Robins, and the Bulldogs do battle with Wee Waa.
