Scientists are scouring the ocean abyss off the coast of Byron Bay, in the hope of learning more about the bizarre creatures that dwell in the deep.
The North Coast is one of 13 sites that will be surveyed along the East Coast, as part of a research expedition led by Museums Victoria.
