A helping hand for koala rescuers in Port Stephens today, with Hunter Water and the local council handing over the keys to a new, $60,000 car.
The off-road vehicle is being hailed as a game changer for the Port Stephens Koalas group.
“Now we’re able to, without any delay, go into any territory and rescue badly injured or very ill koalas.”
Among the group’s current patients, this three-old male who’s recovering from conjunctivitis… which can cause blindness.
