Wyong Council has begun its ANZAC centenary celebrations, today raising a commemorative flag outside its chambers.
Wreaths were also laid to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
“A very important event, and very satisfying and emotionally humbling really to be apart of it.”
“This is what it’s all about. This is what makes it worthwhile being a federal member, when you see the community coming together to celebrate events such as the centenary of ANZAC.”
Council will also erect flags along the Tuggerah straight.
