The strongest change of the season is approaching and the pre-frontal trough has already started to fire up storms across the region.
The first wave of storms will move through tonight, clearing to the north east before the heat rolls back in tomorrow with the return of the north westerly winds.
The actual front will then move in, firing up another big line of thunderstorms.
Widespread rain will develop Saturday night, contracting to the north east once again into Sunday, which is going to be a lot cooler.
