West Tamworth’s Dennis Silcock led his lawn bowls team to victory, at yesterday’s five-a-side tournament at his home club.
The competition has been running for more than two decades, and involves a singles, pairs, triples and fours matches.
While the $2,500 in prize money meant, all six teams played for free.
“They’ve had a day of bowls, they get their money back, their entry fee and they’ve had a feed.”
