Jarrod Mullen’s NRL career is effectively over, formally handed a four-year ban for testing positive to an anabolic steroid.
Confirmation of the punishment came this afternoon, four months after he was provisionally banned.
Mullen has three weeks to appeal, but his contract has already been ripped up by the Knights.
In a statement, the club thanked the 30-year-old for his services… he played 211 games for Newcastle over 12 seasons.
