Police are appealing for help from the public after a spate of violent break and enters in Casino over the weekend.
Six homes within a one kilometre radius were targeted between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
In one incident, a 52 year old woman was threatened with a samurai sword, while in another, an elderly man was assaulted after confronting three intruders in his home on Acacia Avenue.
“He was punched in the face and hit with a chair and has sustained some soft tissue injuries, He has been treated and is ok.”
The alleged offenders have been described as being of Aboriginal appearance, in their 20s, wearing hooded jumpers with caps covering their faces.
Police believe the same people are responsible for all six robberies.
