FIVE OF THE BEST FOR MEREWETHER IN THE HUNTER’S WPL COMPETITION

In Round Seven of the Women’s Premier League, Warners Bay beat Mid North Coast, Wallsend drew with Adamstown, and Merewether hammered Thornton.
It was first against last as United faced the Redbacks, but it took a Rhali Dobson goal just before half time to open the scoring.
Dobson was involved again after the break, teeing up Sarah Halvorsen.
Leticia Quinlan wound her way through to make it three-nil, before Halvorsen grabbed a brace and made it four nil from a corner.
Bek Stuart then scored from a tight angle to make it five-nil.
