The man charged over the 1982 cold case murder of Elizabeth Dixon will learn tomorrow whether he’ll be released from custody, ahead of his trial.
Rodney Lawrence appeared via videolink in Sydney’s Supreme Court today, where his lawyer made a formal application for bail.
The 66-year-old will face trial in November over the stabbing murder of Ms Dixon, whose body was found in her car in bushland near Maitland.
