Making venues and events more accessible to people with a disability was the focus of a forum at Hunter Stadium today.
Event organisers heard examples of best practice around the world, including from British paralympic swimming champion, Chris Holmes, who worked on the London games.
“If you make your event accessible and inclusive, that makes great business sense.” said Mr Holmes.
The state government wants to ensure major and community events have better infrastructure and transport accessibility, and staff training.
