A man faced court in Tamworth today, charged over a brutal and sustained attack on a young woman in Sydney.
The 25-year-old suffered 37 stab wounds, allegedly at the hands of her partner.
He then became the focus of a statewide, four-day manhunt before police caught up with him nearly 450 kilometres away.
