Merewether is into the final of the national Surftag series qualification event on its home beach, with the men’s side producing a strong all-round team performance in the preliminary rounds today.
The team narrowly lost its opening heat, before turning on a clinic in round two, using all of their local knowledge to make the most of the fun conditions.
The women’s team has its first heat tomorrow morning.
