Figures released today reveal New South Wales beaches were evacuated 86 times over the summer holidays, due to sharks lurking within 100 metres of swimmers and surfers.
The figures are part of the DPI’s latest drone trials, which have been taking place at five beaches, including three on the Northern Rivers.
