All of Port Macquarie’s beaches were closed today due to dangerous surf.
Southerly swells reaching five metres pounded the coast, with similar conditions expected tomorrow and Thursday.
Lifeguards will continue monitoring the surf, and are urging people to avoid swimming at unpatrolled beaches.
