It seems aerobics is becoming more than just a sport in the region’s schools.
Gold is the new favourite colour of the girls at Mayfield East Primary.
“We are awesome girls – yeah”
They claimed the novice crown at the national championships in Brisbane last weekend.
But teachers and parents say the routine is as much a lesson about confidence and a healthy lifestyle.
“They’re learning grace, confidence, self esteem. They’re learning to perform in front of a few thousand people.”
“It’s been a really great program run by the school we’re really appreciate of that.”
