NSW OPPOSITION SLAMS TAFE REFORMS
The state opposition says Hunter TAFE students should expect big cuts in the sector, after the state government today unveiled sweeping reforms.
The changes propose streamlining the TAFE model, by reducing facilities and consolidating services.
The Baird Government says every million dollars saved has the potential of subsidising training for 250 students.
But New South Wales Labor says the moves will dismantle regional TAFE and cost local jobs.
There is currently no timeline for the reforms.
