The Hunter’s tradies are being urged to put safety first in an attempt to curb the number of workplace accidents.
On average, 730 Hunter-based residential construction workers are injured on the job every year, costing $7.5-million in workers’ compensation claims.
Over the next 12 months, the workplace safety watchdog will be visiting construction sites to pass on a few valuable tips and tricks of the trade.
