They spend their working days helping the injured and sick and today eight North West paramedics were honoured for their long service.
Sean O’Connor was today awarded the second clasp to his National medal – notching up 35 years as a paramedic.
“Communications centre, be it advanced life support, be it other clinical subjects, working for education, middle management now and it’s the changes that I was able to make in the 35 years that gave me the longevity.”
