Off season recruit Jamie Buhrer has been selected to captain the Knights at the Auckland Nines.
The former Sea Eagle says it’s an unexpected surprise.
Buhrer will lead an inexperienced squad, containing the likes of Nathan Ross, Brock Lamb and the Saifiti brothers.
The Knights will hand a 9’s debut to six players, including Mitch Barnett, Luke Yates and Sam Stone.
