CUSACK READY TO HIT THE GROUND RUNNING

The Hunter’s new senior representative in the state government says she’s keen to “get cracking” in the role and will visit the region later this week.

MLC Catherine Cusack tweeted the remark this morning along with the hashtag “Hunter rocks”, before being sworn in this afternoon as Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter and Education.

She takes over from Scot MacDonald, whose portfolio responsibility has moved to the Central Coast.

Ms Cusack, who lives at Lennox Head on the far north coast, will visit the Hunter on Thursday and Friday to meet local leaders.
