The New South Wales government is cracking down on illegal crabbing.
Since Christmas, Fisheries officers have seized close to 200 crab traps, 47 hoop nets and a yabby trap between Coffs Harbour and Lake Macquarie.
It’s part of Operation Portunas, which is also targeting illegal prawning.
18 blue swimmer crabs and 14 mud crabs found during the operation have been returned to the water.
