Traffic was brought to a stand-still in West Tamworth this afternoon, when power lines were brought down just before 1:30pm.
A semi-trailer was being driven along Belmore Street when its tipper clipped live power lines.
The power was cut to surrounding businesses for more than an hour, with traffic blocked on both Belmore Street and Reserve Place.
No one was injured.
