The surfing world will be looking to Newcastle next month with Owen Wright set to make his return to competition at Surfest, more than a year after an horrific injury at Pipeline.
Wright was in the world title race when he wiped out at the infamous break, suffering head trauma.
He’s in the men’s field, alongside the likes of Matt Wilkinson and Joel Parkinson.
