Rock fishermen, swimmers and boat users across the Hunter are being urged to take care with hazardous surf conditions forecast.
It comes as a wintry cold front moves across the South East Australia, bringing showers and dangerous conditions to many coastal areas.

With dangerous conditions forecast, boat users are being urged to delay their journey.
Those already out on the water are being reminded to log their trip with the nearest Marine Rescue base.
