Three people were rescued, after the engine of their yacht caught fire off Point Plomer, early this morning.
Marine Rescue volunteers responded to the distress call around 5am, before towing the boat to Port Macquarie.
While the yacht wasn’t badly damaged, the skipper was taken to hospital after hitting his head on the stove top in rough seas.
