Manning-Great Lakes Police are urging residents and visitors to secure their homes and holiday accommodation, following a series of break and enters in the Forster Tuncurry area.
Police say thieves have also been targeting high-rise buildings, climbing over balconies to upper level floors and gaining entry through unlocked doors and windows.
Valuables such as cash, electronic items and car keys have been stolen.
