ABORIGINAL TAFE PARTICIPANTS SET TO APPLY TO NSW POLICE FORCE

11 Aboriginal men and women from New South Wales’ Far North Coast will have the chance to apply to the NSW Police force, after graduating today from a special preparation course.

Participants from Casino TAFE’s IPROWD course put on their best smiles today, relieved after completing 18 weeks of study.

The state-wide program has already proven its value to graduates.

“We actually have two students from our first casino IPROWD course that are out in the NSW police as probationary constables.”

The graduates, from the area between Tweed Heads and Kempsey, will now aim to be part of the next intake at the New South Wales Police Academy in Goulburn.
