Crowdy Beach was forced to close for several hours this morning, after a shark was spotted at Harrington just after 8 am.
The DPI confirmed the sighting as a 3.2 metre Great White.
It didn’t deter the majority of swimmers though, who hopped back in the water once the beach re-opened.
